Have been visiting Meryl for a week. We have had a good natter and I have helped Meryl spend some money on a computer. She is now up with the Joneses and the Smiths etc although we have wasted such a lot of time trying to get linked up to their dial-up account with optus. We've had lots of to-ings and fro-ings to and from Mumbai but finally gave in and took the computer back to Harvey Norman. Apparently it's a problem with the exchange for the phone where she lives and there is a complicated process.
Floriade is on and we've visited the park twice. The flowers are amazing and we saw a concert by a jazz band from the Canberra Uni which was top class. It was snowing pollen and flower bits as the wind came up while we were there - I'm glad I don't get asthma.
I love the whole idea of visitors walking over the roof of Parliament House.

The flight back took less time than it took to catch the Air Train and then the connecting train to Cleveland. It is amazing how we can jet around and that those huge planes can come down from such a great height and land on such a small runway.
