2503 to London
We returned the hire car and then had a more than one hour wait for the train but once on, it took less than 2 hours.
Decided to get a taxi to the George Hotel instead of negotiating the underground which was a good idea although it cost GBP12. We arrived too early to check-in so we left our bags and walked to Oxford Street to get our bearings. The hotel is in a good spot, walking distance from most of the London icons. We went around the corner and had a lunch at the Lord John Russell pub. Don't know who he was, but he has lots of places named after him including Russell Square.
At night, after a highly anticipated shower we walked around the Bloomsbury area and bought an Oyster card for travel on public transport: GBP32+ per person for 2 zones and 7 days.
